Would it make any speed difference if I plugged in my external thunderbolt drives each directly to the Mac Pro or daisy chained them? I have 4 drives.

Some need to be the first on the chain or a performance hit. With so many TB ports, I would use direct.

I haven't noticed a difference with two Thunderbolt RAID setups daisy'd together.

Your milage may vary....

Only if the drives would max out the data throughput.
