I have read that the led technology that will be on the new ipads prevents its ability to have the 120hz refresh rate. This kinda sucks because that 120 hz refresh rate really makes games buttery smooth and really helps drawing and all areas of the ipad pro. As much as I want a new ipad I dont think I want to lose that 120 hz refresh rate.

Promotion will likely be “rebranded” if true they switch to MiniLED zones. It’s like do I want. Better HDR Experience and Colors and Deeper Blacks, or do I want 120hz that I never use and never know when it’s even working.
How history repeats.
I laughed before Face ID came to iPads when there was speculation that it could/would only work in portrait...and look how that turned out.
The iPad isn’t going to lose 120hz.
For giggles I just enabled Limited Frame Rate on my 12.9’’ iPP. OOF! Dramatic difference, I take 120hz for granted. Odd that 60hz isn’t jarring when I use my phone though, probably helped by much smaller screen.
