Gents,
So, Apple Music in Lossless quality is finally here. Amazing. BUT.
When you select 192 khz quality setting and connect your iPhone via Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter to external DAC (I'm using ifi iDSD Signature) it only plays 24bit 48khz files.
It does look like Apple's adapter prevents to do the highest quality. Can't test on a Mac, still running Catalina.

Anyone had a chance to experiment yet?

A bit ridiculous for Apple to enable the highest quality setting with external DAC software and not be able to actually use it.

Are you actually playing hi res lossless files that are available in that quality?

I played Coltrane Plays the Blues which is 192 kHz from iPad to DAC (Topping DX7 Pro) via Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter and I got 192 kHz as expected.
Marco, tried the same album - getting the same specs! I've listened to albums that were not available in 192khz. Great to see that lighting doesn't limit here.

Thanks for sharing.
