No 3rd party apps working post-os4-update

On my 2nd gen ipod touch, since updating to os4, I can't get a single one of my third-party apps to run. They all launch and then immediately quit. Only Apple's own apps run.

Anyone else experiencing this or have a suggestion?

I hope a downgrade is easy to come by if that turns out to be necessary.

Thanks for the tips. Before I saw these I just tried backing up and restoring the ipod, and that seems to have worked.

Actually, I had already bought the free iBooks app after updating, and that didn't solve my problem. Maybe that tip would work with a 3rd party free app. Or maybe the purchase must be made through the device instead of through iTunes.
