Just a quick question before i install windows. My windows Xp Cd requires no activation to set up. Will this be a problem when i use both boot camp and parallels? P.S i am using a valid version of XP, it just isn't a retail version

Sounds like a corporate version of XP. It will not be a problem for installation (I use one myself) but you may have problems with Windows Genuine Advantage and receiving updates from Microsoft. But as far as boot camp, the corporate versions of XP Pro work just fine.

I use a volume license version of XP without issue. I have and continue to receive all of the updates. Assuming your VL serial is legit, I wouldn't expect any problems.
