I bought one of the new iMacs and it's my first desktop mac. I thought the new systems came with extra software, such as quicken, nanosaur, and/or comic life? Is this no longer the case? Did anyone who bought one of the new revision iMacs get any additional software? Mine seems to only have come with the OS and iLife.

This has been bugging me for some odd reason. Thanks for any info!!

Cheers :)

No it does not come with any of the software you mentioned.

OK thanks, do you know in the past did iMacs come with extra software? I know my powerbook came with extra software (quickbooks and some other stuff), and my roommates mac mini did as well.

My Late 2006 iMac came with some software. Not sure about others but definitely Big Bang Board Games and Comic Life. My Mid 2007 MacBook did not come with any extra software.

I bought an Al iMac the week it came out (with Tiger) and I know it had Office 2004 trial, Big Bang Board Games and Comic Life. It might have had Quicken, as well...

That's a shame if you don't have Comic Life, i love that app! ...even if it tells me my isight is always on when it's open, which scares me a little ..

i used to use it a lot. not for a while though. i have upgraded to leopard and a quick check of my apps folder and it aint there anymore!
thats not very fare:mad:
