I've discovered that when I receive an invite and I accept it in my calendar, i cannot figure out how to set an ALERT to remind me of the event.

Am I missing something?
It seems fairly important that if you accept an invite to an event, that you actually show up...and for me that means an alert or 2.
 
Do you have default calendar alerts enabled in settings?
 
Well no I didn't!
That just fixed me right up.
Who knew? Obviously you did.
