The list of what consumers "don't want" should've been another remote clustering up their coffee tables.. how can the remote app not be tweaked to control Apple TV? We've already got iOS devices in our hands most of the time..

As the MNF crew would say.. "c'MON mannnn"

Um...I've been controlling my Apple TV with the Remote app for a long time. I can scroll through the menus, play/pause/ff/rw, etc., use it to type in text boxes (searching).

What? The remote App was designed to control the Apple TV and there is no suggestion that it won't with the new ATV.
Like rorschach mentions i've been controlling my current ATV with the remote app on my iOS devices since day one.

LOL.. another newb who just likes to complain just for the sake of it.

I am also glad new ATV still supports IR remote. I don't have an iOS device and like to use my Harmony to control all my A/V devices.

On the subject of the iphone remote app...

I can't seem to use it to control shared music on my apple tv. I have no music stored on my aTV - So it shows up on my iphone as an empty library.

Is it possible to control a shared library from this?
