New Studio owner here. I use the Bose Companion 5 speakers with it and when the Studio wakes from sleep I have no audio. The only way I can get audio is if I restart the computer or unplug and replug the usb cable. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

I have just got my Mac Studio. plugged in the Bose Companion 5 and it worked fine... but.. sometimes when I pause music and restart there is no sound. if I unplug the usb lead and replug it in, then I get sound. then when I wake up the computer from an overnight sleep, again the usb has stopped working.
I have changed the ports a couple of times with no effect.
never had this problem on my iMac 2017..

really frustrating and the built in speakers, although good, they aren't a patch on the Bose.. Apple support suggested a firmware update for the speaker system 😂😂😂

Since getting this new cable I notice that when I boot up machine for the first time it won't play any music, video or you tube. the media won't play at all and it just stays stuck at the start. however if I switch it back to my studio display speakers the videos and media will start to play. all very weird. I found if I restart or unplug and plug it back in then the media will play.

anyone else experience this? I think I might have to retire these speakers which is a shame! I've had them over 10 years I think and maybe even close to 15 years.

are you plugging this into the front USB C ports? I've just bought it and it works on the front but not the back which isn't the prettiest set up.
No I have it plugged into the back of my studio. Haven't had any issues with audio since I bought the cable.
