I can't find any info about this on the internet, does anyone have any problems with their computer not recognizing the battery when the computer is running off the battery?

As soon as I plugged it for the first time, the light is supposed to turn amber, meaning it's charging, right? Well, it was green. On the battery icon, it would read "Calculating" for hours. If I unplugged the power cord, it'd turn off right away.
The battery didn't "exist" or charge at all.
It was a DOA battery. A quick call to Apple and a replacement was at my doors step in 48 hours.
My suggestion? Check the little button on the battery. Press it, the lights should light up in green. If they don't and you've been charging the battery, then it's totally dead.
Call Apple.
I pushed the button and the battery is charged! argh. however, when my computer screen goes blank the computer makes a quiet ticking noise..ortuno2k said:I'd hate to speculate but this happened to me when I received my 15" PB.

I dont think that should be a problem since apple sells 65watt adapters for both the ibook and powerbooks.mad jew said:Your adaptor is too powerful? That generally shouldn't be too much of a problem but I guess it could mess up the power management. I'd be interested to hear what the MacSpecialists say.
