pls guys I need to know if my iPhone battery is genuine I hit this xs max on the used market with 97 health only to get home charge and realize the battery showing service I called the seller he said it’s not bad I asked if the phone battery was changed he said no that it came that way not yet opened but am curious to know what it really mean last pls I would appreciate uuur thoughts

That’s the number one clue that the battery was replaced by someone other than Apple: No battery Health info. It doesn’t mean the battery is bad or won’t last long, you just lose the battery Health data (which actually isn’t very important)

I know I got a non OEM battery put into a first gen SE and it said service as well but it was brand new and worked fine. I believe non Apple batteries will not show battery health. That being said I also knew the battery for me was new unlike your situation.
