I have this problem that I'm not getting bootscreen og boot picker on my Mac Pro 5.1 (2010)
When I boot I have black screen for about 20 sec the the monitor gets signal and turn on with the Mac login screen.

When I'm in Mojave I see the last sec of the boot progress bar and the the Mac login screen.

I have everything up and running with Catalina and everything is working eg. hardware acc.
The system disk is on a NvMe disk, Mojave on a SSD in one of the trays. GPU is a Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ with a 32" 4K Eizo screen connected with DisplaPort - have tried both DP 1.1 and DP 1.2
I have also tried connect it with HDMI and also to a 27" non 4K monitor.

OpenCore is 0.6.6

Have attached my config.plist

I tried to change the Boot Timeout from 10 sec to 25 sec and rebooted and the total boot time was exactly 15 sec longer, so it looks like the boot picker is working and that Im just not able to see it.

Is there a known issue with 4K monitor and opencore?

4K displays work just fine with OpenCore. You might want to make sure that the firmware of your graphics card has not been modified. This is the leading cause of a non-functioning boot screen in OC.

#4 YES!
I just remberede that my GPU has dual bios so I tried to set it in the other mode and bingo - now I have both boot screen and boot picker - at the moment only text based but it's there.
Thanks

Did you follow the instructions, step-by-step? I have been using OpenCore for a year or so, and have a similar system to yours. I followed this tutorial and had much success:

Start with NOT editing your config.plist file.
