No Canon 1DX Mark III RAW support in photos

Anyone have an idea when .CR3 files from 1dx Mark III will be supported in photos? They are fine in LR and other RAW editors but no luck with iPhotos.

Next update of Big Sur maybe. It will come when it comes. Patience.

I've been told the camera manufacturer has to give Apple data about the new raw format and then also pay Apple to have it included in OS. Which might account for no new Olympus raw formats being supported, for over a year.

Yeah 1dx mark iii has been out for a year as well. I tried heif files and guess what photos will not import those files either.
