Assuming the rumors are true, we are getting 4 new iPhones this fall. 5.4" and 6.1" models that are not 'Pro'. And 6.1" and 6.7" models that are 'Pro'.

The Pro models will of course cost more in the same way the current 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max cost more.

What really bothers me though is that if you want the 6.7" model you will probably have to shell out at least $1,100.

I wish Apple would offer a non-Pro model in that size. I don't need the best camera or stainless steel sides. It's a huge premium to pay just because you want the largest screen iPhone.

If the SE+ is offered it will be priced/speced well for the price... It won't be 6.7" but it will be a good compromise
I have an 8 Plus. I don't want the same phone with new specs. I want the largest screen. And that will cost me a great deal this fall.

Yeah, I don't see Apple offering the device your describing any time soon so you may have to decide whether you want to spend the money on an older version of the Max or move to an Android device where there's a ton of options. If Android is a no go (like it is for me) then you'll have to compromise. 5.8 is the sweet spot for me but that option is gone with the 12 series. I'm planning on replacing my X with the 6.1 Pro and hopefully the size increase won't be something I can't get used to

If the demand is there, they would make it. It seems like a "Galaxy Mega" situation where it's a large screen and less spec'd device for cheaper here. While that would benefit some customers, I am not sure if the demand would be there. Seems like the best compromise would be an iPhone XR, 11, or 6.1" 12. If you really want the 6.7" model, you can wait for the prices to drop to get the phone.

I don't think pre-ordering really accomplishes anything besides just getting a phone early. If you're patient, a 1 yr old iPhone 12 Pro Max would seem like a great purchase in 2021.

I would only go Android for the Fold 2. I would like a folding phone potentially. Otherwise I think I would just bite the bullet and get the 12 Pro Max. It's just a shame they don't offer a non-Pro model for the largest size.
