No Custom Folder Icons in Dock?

All the icons for the folders (or aliases of folders) in my dock have been replaced with generic blue folders. I have many of them, so it's hard for me to visually pick them out.

Is there a way to get these custom icons to show up in the dock again? Note that the icons look fine within the finder windows.

Since the folders look fine in Finder, have you tried removing them from the dock by dragging them off and then dragging them back onto the dock from Finder?

Yep. Doesn't help.

For those of you having this issue, I was able to solve it by clearing my icon cache with the command detailed here: https://gist.github.com/fabiofl/5873100

and then deleting the old aliases and recreating them.

All my icons are as expected now.
