Hey all,

I recently bought an hd 5770 from ebay to upgrade my aging mac. I was going by greggant's guide, which is how I found this gpu. However when I installed it, I waited around 20 minutes, and no display. Is there any way to resolve this?

To help the community problem-solve this for you, include some info about your system (and add it to your signature):
Go to Applications>Utilities and run the System Information app.
Advise the Model Identifier, System Firmware Version and what macOS version you're running.
Advise what PCIe slot your GPU is installed in and any other identifiers on the GPU (make/model etc).

I can't seem to find the firmware version, but it's running macos mojave (per dosdude1's methods) The gpu is in a 16x lane slot (first slot), and it's a dell hd 5770. I was aware I wouldn't have a bootscreen, but it doesn't show a screen at all

Run the patcher, set the option and let it patch.

Will need a working GPU if you dont have screen sharing active (what I very recommend for every Mac OS).
