iCloud is down again...last night it was as well...I know they are gearing up for the big day, but come on already....this is ridiculous.

It's a beta. You're only supposed to use it for testing, not for anything important.

I'm not using for important stuff but I really like using is over gMail and there has really been no service interruption up to this point...hopefully it will be ironed out too.

Gmail and the iPhone for me has been irritating because I like push notifications AND the ability to actually delete (versus Archive) my messages.

Looking forward to the rollout soon!

google sync gives push for the iphone, and to delete just make a label in gmail called 'To be deleted' then when you actually want to delete an email move it to that label, then the next time you log in on a computer just delete all emails in that label.

but TBH I haven't deleted an email is years using gmail and it is stupidly useful being able to go over and search your past emails, but each to their own.

My email has been out for almost 2 days now - I have submitted numerous bug reports...All other aspects of iCloud work, so I know that my password and apple ID are good. And I can access my imap folders...just can't get to the inbox. I have a bad feeling that this iCloud rollout isn't going to be so smooth.

You tried changing your password?

I changed it yesterday, but I changed it again today to see if that would help. Still not working. I have no idea what to do except wait for the rollout (tomorrow hopefully) and then try to get a customer service person. The weird thing is that an old MobileMe account has been transitioned and is working...of course, I don't use it! :)

my @me.com addy is not working.

MY email just came back....all of a sudden I had 150 emails on my iPhone. I have no idea why it was out for so long but I hope that never happens again...it makes me nervous about making this my primary email after the iCloud rollout. The good thing is, it doesn't look like I lost anything...my emails were there, just unaccessable. Not good, but I am happy it's working again.
