Apple is saving second version for next years iPhone. Face ID is the only thing that needed a real upgrade for faster unlocking and in various orientations. A complete let down. No Face ID 2 no upgrade.....

So you haven't used the device and you're already "let down" because they never said "Face ID 2"? Wait until after the keynote with the hands on before you make sweeping assumptions.

It seems it will be faster, but considering it was such a blip of a mention I'm guessing it's a very modest improvement.

Face ID, while competent, is the only thing about my X that has significant room for improvement.

New phones look great as always, but nothing worth upgrading from my X. Very underwhelming phone presentation so far - AR is boring, until it isn't....eventually. Have to laugh at how Cook had to really go to town to sound really enthusiastic about them, ha. Not a knock at Apple, all phones are deep into diminishing returns territory. They're a much bigger deal if you're after a larger screen though, I can see that.

S4 SS Watch ordered at 0802 on Friday though (hopefully!), nice upgrade from my S2, oh yes.
