A lot of people have been complaining about displays and what i've observed is that there is no perfect screen in the Mac line of products (the only products i pay attention to)
The ACDs are grainy and sometime have a peptobismol pinkish hue, the iMacs have color shifting, dead pixels and problematic viewing angles. The MBP is either yellowish, greenish tones, terrible viewing angles whilst the MBs have a washed out display that requires a miracle calibration to make them useable. Each screen has either one or any combination of issues
All in all every screen in every line has its problems. Is this a result of cheap-ing out on screens by Apple or just flaws in LCD technology.....i dunno BUT a lot of people (me included) are simply not completely satisfied.
Personally am 90% satisfied with my MBP screen and around 95/97% with my iMac.
My conclusion?....there are simply no perfect LCDs out there, there are decent ones.....or there are and we're just being picky.
