I'm currently using Windows XP, so I'm not able to install iCloud... but my question is, what features will I miss if I don't install Windows 7 to get iCloud on it?

Michigan, USA
but what about the picture streaming?
will they stream automatically without having iCloud installed on my PC?
I've visited the iCloud site but there's nothing related to pictures

Yeah you need Vista or 7 to take full advantage of iCloud, although there are some features you can still use (I think). I wish I could tell you which, but I'm on a PC running 7.

I'm pretty sure the photos sync with the iCloud site, as long as you are using an iPhone and have all the relevant settings turned on it will sync with the iCloud when you have it plugged in and on wi-fi.

Hope this clears thing's up for you.

This is gonna sound stupid, but... Picture streaming is also available for iPad, right? :p

I'm trying to access iCloud.com here on my iPad but there are just 3 options:
- Setup iCloud on this device
- install Find My iPhone
- install Find My Friends

I can't see what I see using my PC to log on the site.
// if I click in Setup... It sends me to Apple.com

Sorry for newb question but I'm having trouble with the iCloud service, I have an iPhone 4 and windows pc running vista service pack 2. When I place a photo in the upload folder it then appears on my iPhone in the photo app in the photo stream app, but when I take a photo with my iPhone it doesn't appear on my pc. Am I missing something?????

Ok... I thought iPad will stream my old pictures too, but now I realize it won't. I just took a test picture and that's the only one shown under Streaming section

Thank you guys for answering!

Go to Setting/ iCloud/ Photo streaming
And turn it on

I have all of the settings applied correctly as directed from the apple website but to no avail. I wasn't sure if I needed a Mac for the true feel of iCloud or what

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

We really need someone to come up with a work around to permit iCloud to work with XP. I would LOVE to be able to have my photo stream available on my many many XP machines.

Web browser based iCloud does not support photo stream.
