Earth (for now)
I just discovered that iPadOS 14.5 doesn't include a Watch unlock option with my iPad Pro 10.5, even though it works now with my iMac and MacBook, and now my iPhone as well.

Am I correct that it's just not available? Or do I have an incorrect setting somewhere?

Its not offered but it makes sense to have it.

The watch unlock function doesn't work on iPads, but it also only works on phones with Face ID. It's a security downgrade so I don't understand why you'd even want it on a Touch ID device.

Ok, noted.

For the same reason everyone else wants it. It’s convenient.

Anyhow, I suspect this means the rumoured OLED iPad Air in 2022 will remain Touch ID. Another differentiator vs the iPad Pro.
