Hello. I went to order a 12.9 iPad Pro thinking I would then just pick it up at my local store but showing not avail for pickup in any DFW stores. Also delivery is showing out one month? This for the 12.9 wifi, 128GB (however, I tried with a bunch of models and got similar results).

Really a month for an iPad Pro ?

Yup. It’s a new model, that was released during a pandemic. All orders are being shipped directly from China as they are made. The stockpile Apple had sold quickly ( they were available quickly after release) and due to constraints on manufacturing because of Covid it seems like they are barely keeping up with the demand.
i was quoted 3 weeks but got mine in 2, and my device wasn’t made until 3 days after I ordered.

Once it shipped it seemed to take unusually long to get out of Asia which I contribute to the decrease in allowable traffic and the increase of that traffic carrying critical supplies instead of consumer electronics.

I’m in the UK, was a several week wait for an iPad Pro 12.9” on the Apple store but I managed to get one with next day delivery from John Lewis.

Keep checking pickup availability when you wake up. I ordered one on June 7th and got a mid july shipping time. Just for kicks I checked local stores. There was some sporadic availability and I am in LA so lots of options. Yesterday, I called and cancelled the original order and did a pickup order over the phone. The inventory the CSR was able to find was different than what I found online. I picked up a new one yesterday morning. You'll find one at one of the local stores eventually.

If you don't absolutely need the 2020, consider a 2018 Apple refurb 12.9, which you can get with express shipping on Thursday to DFW or standard shipping on Friday. There's two 12.9s in the refurb store tonight.

B&H. Bought mine for $1 cheaper than Apple and had my 2020 11 Pro in 2 days - arrived last week.

Thanks for the info. . I'll order and keep an eye on it.

Interesting that B&H and my local Costco seem have plenty. .
