This has been working in the past on Big Sur so not sure when this happened but I am on 11.5 now.

That's all I get when plugging in my iPhone 12 Max.

Normally I'd have all the manual sync/backup controls here. Stumped.

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks for the reply, glad you got it sorted. I don't have a 2nd Mac to plug into. It's not mission critical thankfully. Once I get through unpacking from my move I'll try some alternate cables as well.
I plugged it into the Mac which had the issue which fixed it. Good luck with your move!

Slightly different iPhone controls issue since Big Sur: iPhone doesn't show up in Finder's left pane at all - connected via Wi-Fi or via cable. No rhyme or reason as to when this might happen.
Boring solution (while connected to cable) has been to open Finder > Preferences > uncheck 'CDs, DVDs and iOS devices > then check back on. This seems to re-enable the connection.
