NO iPhone for AT&T Employees for the First Month

You know, I was wondering about this. From everyone's experience with other "hot" Apple products, will they restrict Apple employee discounts on iPhone while/if supplies are low?
Good. More available for me to try and get one.
LOL There's going to be a lot of iPhones available no worries on that. This product is not going to to be like the wii of ps3. I guess they really want to be sure there are no iPhone outages.
I want one and want it the day it's released!

I don't think anyone either att employee or apllle can get a discount on the phone... I guess we will find out with more information if that is true!

So the entry standards for worst morning ever sit at not being able to get an Apple cell phone for one month? Erm....
sorry to hear about that, but i'm not terribly surprised. if you get an employee discount, they will lose revenue compared to selling it to a non-employee without a discount. plus, they probably want to make sure as many customers as possible can get one to help with customer satisfaction.
if you're discount isn't substantial to begin with, maybe you could just go to another store and pretend to be a normal customer and buy one?
good point. he may need to enlist the help of a friend to do this then, but the account activation will be tricky. he may just be out of luck!
Who knows if you look at the iPhone keynote you really can't tell i'm sure it'll be tho it would make no sence if it didnt? They FRY all the time...believe me I work for AT&T.

Probably "at all". I know that when the Toyota Prius was redesigned for the 2004 model year, a Toyota salesman friend of mine said that employees were prohibited from even putting their names on the waiting list until the wait was less than 1 month. That meant he had to wait over a year and a half before he would have been able to buy it from his own dealership.
He got one through ANOTHER dealership by waiting on THEIR waiting list.
Good if you can't spell available then you don't deserve an iPhone.
But alas I kid...and yet I am serious when I say employees should have to wait.

I don't want an iphone right when it comes out, personally. I'd rather let it be tested a bit in the field first.
If you can't properly place commas and use the word "alas" appropriately then perhaps you should rethink correcting others' writing.

I guess what I meant is that us at&t employees can buy it and use it with our COU (compnay Official Use) simcard which is a UNLIMITED EVERYTHING Plan Min, Text, Data, Ringtones etc... but we can't buy the iphone like that until a month later. What I'M GOING TO DO is just add a line to my dad's line and make it a family plan. and cancel the line within the 30day period until we're able to buy it... hahaha!
You do realize that means your dad will have to pay the $200 cancellation fee, don't you?
No early termination fee if service is cancelled and phone returned in first 30 days; thereafter, a charge of $175 per line of service applies. Some agents impose additional fees.
