Yeah man, I'm in SLC and possible a huge idiot. Actually I am without a doubt. I went opening night to the apple store in Gateway, and didn't get one. Wanted to sleep on it. But couldn't sleep because I was thinking about it... so I figured hey they'll still have them tomorrow. Nope, just measly 4 gigs. Not what I wanted.
So I ordered online (ebay were racking up the price too much), and I'll continue to check the apple store in case I need to cancel my order.

That makes me wonder how accurate the 'Check Availability' button is on Apple's website, because I checked it last night after they closed and it said iPhones unavailable.

I think that I just won because I pulled the trigger and got mine on the 2nd day. I figured we have so many tech guys here who wanted it in SLC. 
so i took the plunge and ordered online. i figured my chances of snagging one around here are not very good. and i can wait a few weeks to recieve it

California and the East coast are going to get precedence to pretty much anywhere in the US. I doubt SLC is on the list for any major shipments in the meantime.

I live by the King of Prussia Apple Store in PA. They still have plenty left. If anyone is interested I can do the transactions for you and send them out. You would just pay the cost for the phone, tax (since I'd have to pay it) and actual shipping costs. We can do the money through Paypal so everyone is protected by fraud.

Wow, it's so nice to hear that Apple guys here are willing to help each other out.
Such is life.I think its ridiculous that these Ebayers are just trying screw everyone over on the price of these things. I also think it sucks that Apple didn't pass along alot of stock to alot of markets. I think this thing so cool that I am totally willing to help anyone get one.
My wife is a HUGE Dave Mattews fan. I took her to The Dave Mattews and Tim Reynolds show in NYC. They are very rare shows and they always sell a limited edition poster tat them. People were buying 20 or 30 of these at a pop to sell on Ebay. We bought 10 and offered them to people on the DMB message board my wife belongs to for face value and postage. We just like to help.

Yes. I am not proud to says it is now the most dangerous city in the country.
I know... of course I am surprised that Mayor Street wasted his time fighting the iPhone crowds rather than the criminals in North Philly.
Geewhiz, I was nearly nailed at Tasker Street once many years ago. I think that I will stick to the Art Museum and Rodin statues for protection.
