My iPod is no longer being recognized on its Firewire connection. iTunes, the Finder, and iPod Software Updater all fail to find it. However, it does charge, it just doesn't get found or mounted. Any ideas?

No iPod Recognition...

Try replug the Firewire cord ,a USB connection if you have one, restart your computer, reset your iPod (worked for me once). If none of those work do a quick search becuase I know this has been brought up before.

Edit: for clarification. I can get my iPod into disk mode, where it says "Ok to disconnect" but can't erase it.
