no iTM in Japan?!?!?!?

Just a wild guess: in the land of Sony (one of the biggest music rights holder) they want to protect the domestic music markets ... CD/DVD are expensive here, local streaming services around. Apple might not be allowed to provide that service here.

On a second thought: as per new strict copyright law you should not have any ripped CD/DVD or downloaded media on your disk. Therefore iTM don't make officially sense; nothing to match.
Why those laws ? Back to former post about Sony and friends, :(
