No Journal App?

We’ve got ios17 up and running, but no Journal app. Is it just our device not showing it?

I hope it’s not just on the iPhone but on the iPad too when it’s released. They just said “coming to iPhone this year.”

Knowing Apple, it will be released a month before iOS 18. lol

It’ll probably show up in 17.2 in November, like FreeForm did in iOS 16.

I doubt it will have all the bells and whistles of DayOne. I will definitely get the new Journal App a lengthy test drive. I am hoping I can get rid of a sub with DayOne. It will be interesting to see if Apple will have a method of importing data from other apps.

TomsGuide suggested a beta will drop 'in July' -- but I see they've changed the article and it no longer says this. Presumably we still have a couple of beta versions of 17.0 before it ships. So maybe beta 4?

In any case, it won't ship in initial release of 17.0.

If it follows the pattern of Freeform last year, we won’t see a beta until late October or early November with a release in error arly to mid December. Of course, Apple could do something different but if I had to bet I would go with the late autumn release.
