Many people do talk about lack of Back-lit keyboard but not lack of lock slot!!
Easiest notebook on mac to steal!!!

What are some ways one can protect their Macbook Air?

Lock slots are worthless. They give you a false sense of security and are really easy to break, just search on youtube how easy it is.
