no loops?!!!??

i went to use garageband for the first time in awhile today. when i launch i get the message below. i don't understand. i have both garageband and jampack installed. i went to library/application support/garageband/apple loops/garageband and library/application support/garageband/apple loops/jampack and all the loops are there. there is no file in apple loop index which worries me. i haven't touched any of these files. am i going to have to reinstall?

i decided to just reinstall it. mod can delete this. of note i did save 4.56GB... until i reinstall it. (i still say the loop quality is too high)
