Visited Bluewater UK store this morning, looked at the display black Macbooks and the white Macbooks.

Was informed by staff that they had NONE in stock, and no expectation of any new deliveries.......apparently, they have been flying off the shelves!

BlueWater also refused to accept my Apple 10% discount card that was issued by Regent Street, London.....thought this was also pathetic as did the Apple sales rep there (a manager said No), as I was originally told it could be used anywhere! So, I now have to go to London to claim my discount and buy my Apple!

Apple somewhat sucked today!

Received it due to bad service instore.

Don't know, I have to travel to London to get my £100 -£110 off, wondering whether to cut my losses and get it locally if they get their act together. I am thinking like this in case I have a machine with any faults, don't want them to be awkward locally if I buy it in London.

Call Apple and tell them your situation and then tell them to call the store and give you the discount. Give them hell!! Or else go to the store when another manager is on duty.

Yes, I agree in principle Nuc, but this was my 2nd attempt at Bluewater, and the 2nd refusal to accept the card in principle.

Still, for now there is no prospect of me or anyone else walking instore and buying a Macbook there, they are out of stock for an indefinite/unknown period!

Once this is resolved, I may then give them hell!!:D

Why not let someone else you know in London use the card instead. And then he/she can pay you the discount he gets on the purchase. Not really an easy option but might work if someone you know is about to purchase an Apple in London though.
