For the last week or so, I've been having problems with sending mms over imessage in bitesms 7.4 Whoever I send an mms to, does not receive it on their end. I am able to send myself one fine.

I'm using the bitesms official repo. I'm on 6.1.2 on Iphone 4. Only the stock message app will send mms on my phone.

Tried searching for similar threads but none have any fixes for the problem. Anyone else notice similar problems?

No one have this issue? I just finished turning off all mobile subtrate add ons and sent them back on one at a time. Bitesms worked for for about 20 minutes after the above then went back to not sending MMS.

Definitely bitesms problem.

Well there are multiple threads on a very similar topic. Many people are experiencing the same thing as you except they don't mention BiteSMS. They just say mms aren't getting sent.

I suggest you read those threads. Maybe you're experiencing the same exact problem as them and its not a BiteSMS specific bug? Just a thought. Good luck! Sorry I don't have more info. I use BiteSMS and I'm not experiencing this problem.

I had the same problem on 5.1.1 with my 4s. No matter what, couldn't get it to work. Developer couldn't recreate it, and i went to a different app until 6.1 came out-now works fine. I wasn't the only one, seems to be very selective in whos phones it affects which makes me think it's a conflict with something else-which I could never identify.

Now after removing bitesms, I can no longer send MMS from stock message app either. Ridiculous. Several people on their forum experienced this same thing and they still have no fix for it. Am I now forced to restore again to get stock app to send MMS?

Not for nothing but I tried to tell you this wasn't necessarily a BiteSMS problem.

You didn't say whether or not you have you read the other threads here at MacRumors discussing this problem? If you haven't I suggest you give it a try. They might have some helpful info.

I posted about this also a couple weeks ago, no solution in site, I cant figure out what it going on, I know its not a bitesms issue b/c It was working and just stopped, short of restoring and re-jailbreaking I dont know what to do

I too uninstalled Bitesms and can no longer send MMS...wtf...someone needs to fix this asap.

What does Bitesms do that breaks MMS even if uninstalled? This is certainly Bitesms's responsibility to fix..

I don't think this is a result of using BiteSMS. There are other people who have this mms problem and have never used BiteSMS. I am currently using BiteSMS and I don't have this problem. I've never even experienced it. I'm on an AT&T 4S on 6.1.2. I'm using the latest beta version of BiteSMS.

All i know is this problem was positively related to bitesms for me. There was a thread on their forums about it. When I uninstalled bitesms and installed realsms there were no problems. No problems with the stock either. I tried it with my gsm phone, and it was a problem, but no problem with the cdma phone (iphone 4).

One trick to try is to get the app "tetherme." Not for tethering, but it allows you to input your network aptn (or whatever it's called, cant remember its been awhile) and apparently this helps you reset your network or input its signal directly. It was something someone on a forum suggested for some people that apparently helped.

Very interesting. I didn't know all that. Thanks for sharing. Boy I'm grateful mine still works. I use it almost every day!

This is definitely a bitesms problem. It is not a tweak as I have disabled all of them in sbsettings. I have read other threads here and over at bitesms. Not sure why you seem to be sure it's not bitesms.

You try a reset network settings?
What carrier are you using?

Yes, I reset network settings numerous times, no change. Also on Verizon

See posts 12 and 14 for my response to this.

Also, if you ever find out how to fix it or anything like that please post your solution. I'd like to know how to resolve this because I have a friend who can't send mms and I'd like to help him. Thanks!

I also tried restoring back to 5.1 from 6.1.2 other day and still having problems with bitesms. Don't know what it could be. I also went to their forums looking for some guidance.

Also check out this last post....this is another reason why I don't believe this is a BiteSMS issue! People with non-jailbroken devices are experiencing this...just like my friend. But if you believe that BiteSMS is causing this problem on your phone then that very well could be true too. We all know this isn't the first time there were 2 separate causes for similar bugs. Personally I just don't believe this to be one of those times. Either way, this is why I suggested you go back and read the existing threads.

I also read that people with non jailbroken phones were having that problem, so it is probably a few different things out there. I know that mine was because when i uninstalled bite, it all worked fine. Rogers (my provider) could find no problems with the network and my phone-either with or without it installed.

I did read a lot of stuff online with people not having mms work, i tried everything, imessage on/off, etc. it only started to work when i would uninstall bite (which i installed/uninstalled about a half dozen times to test). Was all a pain in the butt, which i am glad i don't have now!

Not sure exactly what's going on but everyone I've asked has a CDMA phone.

For anyone reading this thread who has this problem and you do NOT use a CDMA phone, please post your carrier. That might help us track down a solution.

This problem is pretty widespread on the apple forums. This happened once late in 2012 and it ended up being a server problem for iMessages. Basically the service was blacked out while a fix was found. During that time, a restore wouldn't fix the problem since it was a server issue not a device specific issue.

It's possible that's the same thing happening right now. It's up to you. I wouldn't restore unless other people who are experiencing this problem got it resolved by restoring. Otherwise I'd hold out a little longer because its possible a fix could be coming soon. Up to you. Just telling you what I know. Good luck. Let me know what you end up doing.
