So i have iTunes Match and tried AM for 3 months but hated it. so i deactivated AM in the music setting and enabled iCloud Music Library (for my iTunes Match stuff). however it has all the songs i used to make available for offline listening through AM in my iTunes Match library. they are simply greyed out but cannot be played.

why is it still there???? god i hate AM
any way to get rid of it?

This is the way it's supposed to work. As far as your iCloud Music Library is concerned, those tracks *are* part of your library, whether you are currently subscribed to Apple Music or not. This is so that people can unsubscribe for a period of time, then resubscribe and still have all their music saved.

The only way to get rid of it all is to delete it manually. The quickest way would be to create a smart playlist in iTunes where "iCloud status - is - Apple Music" and then delete every song in the playlist from your library. Will take less than a minute.

Just to add to dewater, it is also for convenience. If you decide you really miss AM and want to start your subscription back you will not lose any music. You can start back right where you left off.

well that is super stupid :-/ i thought thats the point of the show apple music toggle
