No more drag down to dismiss a notification?

I loved doing a tap-and-hold on a notification to read it and then keep dragging down to “dismiss” it. It seems that can’t be done anymore. Unless there’s a setting I’m missing to turn on?

they got rid of all ways to dismiss a notification, other than pulling down the entire sheet from the top. It's so stupid, I wonder what their rationale was for this change.

Yeah, appears to be gone unfortunately. I hope they bring back some of the richness of notifications, including some kind of title bar when you do the preview, as well as a more obvious way to dismiss them. Messages annoyingly in the quick reply interface has ZERO way of signaling which messaging thread you are in once you open the interface.

Why does every single major release remove these small but functional features? It really does seem like change for the sake of change with no perceivable reason or benefit for removal.

I hope people using the beta have / will provide official feedback to Apple.

I already have but I also think beta testing feedback is often taken more seriously.
