Yeah, I was slightly disappointed when it didnt come with one. Probably to help cut costs (every little bit helps).

Most people have microfiber cloths at home so I can assume that they thought it would be mostly a non-issue.

I'll bet their thinking was more along the lines of "why include it when we can sell it as an accessory instead"

So many use the word "cost" to imply a benefit to the consumer...the correct word is "profit" because these little things benefit Apple not the consumer.

I'm pretty sure he meant cut costs for Apple, obviously if they had to manufacture one and put it in every product (try used to do it for the iPhone too), all the millions would add up to something substantial for Apple.

That would make sense if they would sell it as an accessory but they don't :)
