I was just checking out the Mac Mini page on the Apple website and I no longer see "The New Mac Mini"

Apple finally acknowledged that the Mac Mini is now longer a "new" model.

It's been gone for many months now.

At least in the german Mac Mini description they keep calling it "new" many times. The batch in the store is gone for months, as it is even on the Retina MacBook Pro now.

Just checked, and it's still "new" here.... see the screen shot.

Well, I suppose it is new compared to my early 2009 model. I recently added more RAM (now 1GB + 4GB = 5GB) so I could install OS X 10.8; a worthwhile upgrade. It's fine for my needs, and will probably do me for several more years. I don't know what all the whinging is about, but then I am not a geeky fanboy; just a humble user.

Still says new on the UK site as well.
Getting tired of waiting. The components are all there and available. Don't see what's taking so long.

It says new in the mac section and doesn't say it in the store section. That change was made just before the summer. Originally it said it in both sections. That change also prompted the furor of anticipatory posts that the mini would get the silent update this summer or in september. It still prompts feelings that it will be updated soon along with the ipad mini (a sort of mini apple release event?)
