Makes sense

People will be upset but you don’t need anymore processing power with the base camera array

Apple needs to distinguish more between there base models and the Pro models. We Pro buyers spend way over a grand for the same Chip you can get in a sub 500 dollar SE 3

This would be interesting. I suspect there is more than differentiation behind such a move.

iPhone 13 non pro and non pro max will be same as 14 except the case. 14 pro and max has better hardware, small hole front camera, redesign case.

If it brings the price down I am all for it, looking at the 14 Max myself (if it's even a real thing). Currently my 12 Mini is plenty snappy enough.

Definitely a warning sign that the 14 pro series won’t have much of interest. They had to resort to cobbling the regular 14s to make the pros seem more attractive.

I don't like this. Apple is a luxury brand and this is considered 'skimping'. A very Samsung type of move.

If this sells, then Apple will continue fragmenting their iPhones with different chipsets.

The A14 chip is overpowered for general consumers and will last a very long time. I have a 12 Mini and it can run Alien Isolation, a PS4 game, like a champ with zero slowdown. Do you think web-browsing or Instagram and other basic apps will slow this thing down anytime soon?

I doubt it.
