Enough is enough is what I decided today. I don't care how fast the new ones will be. I don't just want a new computer I "need" one because since the death of my PB I have been sharing my girlfriends iBook and well, we are both writers so it's getting more than a bit annoying for the both of us.
I don't know if I am more excited about getting a new MacBook Pro or about finally not worrying about "when's the new chip coming out."
I just ordered the refurb MacBook 15.4 2GHz and (*after a couple days of complaining*) they knocked the refurb price down because of the wrong banner on the store. Basically the guy met me halfway, which was cool. I guess for once the squeaky wheel has got the grease.
I managed to order the MB Pro for the same price as a blackbook. I will also have fourteen days to return it should apple release something and should I decide that I must have whatever they come up with. This is very unlikely, but naturally it's nice to have the option. I had ordered a nano a week before the new ones came out. I didn't care. It still rocks. It was cheap. I love it.
Either way, the wait is over and I am very happy that I will be getting such a quick machine for such a great price. They're tough people to budge at apple, but eventually they will cave. My last mac was a 12" PowerBook so this will be quite the jump!
