I have been looking everywhere to find a mac mp3 codec and all i constantly hear is that it should be there o QT or iTunes. The only converstion iTunes does is AAC, as for quicktime, I cant even save the bloody audio on the mp4 exported files. what's all that about? Surely I paid enough to deserve an mp3 codec...

If anyone knows a free codec or even a shareware converter, i am desperate; i need music for my W800i

Go to iTunes' preferences, the advanced prefpane, the importing tab, and choose mp3. The Advanced menu option will then change to "convert to mp3" instead of AAC.

As for QT, I assume you'd need QT Pro. I don't have it, so I can't say for sure. iTunes'll do the trick though.
