I just watched yesterday's Apple event on their web site: http://www.apple.com/apple-events/march-2016/

Did anyone else notice Tim Cook's comments at the very end regarding the "Town Hall" auditorium? He said this would be the last time new products would be announced there and the next one be from the new "theater" of the new Apple campus.

The implication being, no new Macs for quite some time. If Apple holds true to this, I speculate it will be at least 8-10 months before the first product announcements in the new venue.

Did he say they move in the new venue 2017?

Unless they do another small upgrade via the store only again like before....

From memory, the WWDC isn't presented at the town hall venue and is quite bigger. So don't lose hope, maybe we'll see something new in June.

"This probably the last product introduction in the Town Hall ..."
" ... next year, in 2017, we are looking forward to moving..."

This, obviously, doesn't rule out other venues. But it does make you wonder when the next announcements might come.

If there is no redesign many upgrades happen with no announcement,it's highly likely skylake MacBooks will be just released as an updated product with little fanfare.
