Since I got my iPhone 6S Plus, i do not get any notification sounds or vibrations when the phone is locked (i get them whilst i am using the phone). So far I have noticed this with messages, whatsapp, email and calendar notifications. Calls and alarm work as normal. (FYI, i am using iOS 9.0.2 and it is still not fixed)

I have tried/checked the following:

- Tried the phone in both silent and normal mode (no vibration or sound in either mode)
- Do not disturb is off
- Tried changing tones in both whatsapp and messages
- Reset network settings (which is such a pain in the a**!!)
- Reset phone to factory settings
- Restore iPhone via iTunes

After restoring from iTunes the notifications worked OK for about a hour and then the problem resumed.

I have seen this problem mentioned on apple forums and it seems a lot of people are having the issue but no-one seems to be talking about it here or on the popular Apple blogs! Luckily I have an :apple:Watch so I get notified on there of messages, otherwise I would get no notifications at all!!

Has anyone else here had this problem / managed to fix it??? Please help, this is really frustrating!

Are you connected to bluetooth? I have it connected in my car. Once I leave my car it seems that I don't get the notification sounds. If I power off and on the sounds come back until I connect to my cars Bluetooth again.

Thanks for the idea - I've managed to realized its for a similar reason but with my apple watch. When my watch is on
(my wrist) then i dont get any sound and vibration notifications on my wrist, when its off/locked I do! I assume this is a glitch as I cant find an option to turn it off!
