Hello all,
I have a brand new iPad Pro 2021 and noticed the same thing I had with my previous iPad and I think it is either iPad OS related or settings related. If you see on my avatar on the top right corner there is no indication that updates are available. On my iPhone I see a number (1, 2, 5, etc) depending on how many updates are there. Now I need to go to my profile to see if ny updates are available.
see below. Do you know where the problem is?

One question. Do you have the iPad set to update apps automatically (Settings > App Store)?
Your screen shot suggests that you do (i.e. "UPCOMING AUTOMATIC UPDATES").

To be honest, my experience with iPads is either:
- My personal devices where I have automatic updates disabled as I want to manage when the OS and apps get updated
- Enterprise (educational) devices that were managed in an Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution

In the case of the Enterprise devices managed via an MDM, the devices were controlled in that a teacher/student could not update an app while app updating was managed from the MDM.
So I have to say I have never seen this behaviour, so I would be curious to understand if my suggestion above explains what you are seeing.

There is no badge on the app icon/avatar if automatic updates are switched on. This is normal.

OK, I see. So I will try to switch it off and see how it goes. Thank you.

Hi Kulfon
I would be interested to know if that changed it for you.
It is what makes sense as the badge seems to be an indication to prompt for the user to do the updates.
