No notifications since installing Catalina

I have a fresh install of Catalina and have set the notifications I want in ‘system preferences’ but I don’t receive any notifications at all. Anyone else had this problem?

Yes I have the same issue. Checked notifications thay are all set. I still hear the sound of the notification just no notification itself. I just chalked it up to yet another Catalina issue along with the others that I have.

I'm glad someone mentioned this. I have not received a single notification from the News app. In Mojave I would get notifications throughout the day. It's been silent on 10.15, hopefully it will get addressed in the future.

So I checked "notifications" in system prefs and notifications was enable for everything. I did not touch a thing and all of a sudden, i'm now getting email and news notifications. It's great, except I don't have a clue why it's working now.

Mine are still missing as of this morning. Not the greatest issue I have of Catalina unfortunately. I have 4 other issues related to external monitor usage. However, nice to know that maybe at some stage the OS may decide to give me some notifications again. Like you I have checked the settings and they are all set for notifications.....

Did you found any solution about it? I have the same problem fresh Catalina installed on brand new MacBook Pro 2020
