Had my iPhone 7 for a few days. Happy with the purchase. Every time I turned the phone one I was asked for a 6-digit passcode. All of a sudden the passcode request has STOPPED. Not sure why, but I'm sure I have changed something in my settings. Could use some assistance........please.

You could always try this: go to your settings, Touch ID and Passcode [insert passcode], and check your settings.

Do you have Touch ID enabled? If so, the iPhone 7 has a really fast fingerprintsensor, which could be the reason for you to think "hm, no passcode requested". Meanwhile, your phone already registered your fingerprint, which equals to your passcode.

Thanks for the response!

This was the solution!!!! I had set up a call with Apple, and while on the phone with support I noticed that TOUCH ID was enabled. And, yes, this phone quickly recognizes your thumb/finger print. And unknowingly I was tapping the home button with my thumb every time to open the phone. Seems pretty ridiculous now.

Once TOUCH ID was off I was back to before. Of course now that I know what I know I have it ON.

Thanks again.

You're welcome. Just leave it on, Touch ID works brilliantly and safe :)

When it has a little trouble (my iPhone 6 needs a re-touch every so often for whatever reason) I have to remind myself not to use the passcode when in public. Just about any store has you being video recorded from above and who knows what else is watching you out there!
