No phone # in Messages

Hey, Im pretty sure that Apple said the messages mac app can receive iMessages sent to a phone #. Is this true, here is a pic below of the only settings i can see. http://stratus.sylentec.com/725d6b I am also running iOS 6.

As far as I know will not be supported yet! Apple need to release something like a unified apple id... According to some blogs... There's a work around if you change the caller ID to your email... On iMessage settings on your phone. After that you need to restart the conversations (write a new text message from scratch .. To those people that you want this feature)

That works with all my family members... We receive the messages to our phone, macs and iPads ......all are sync, and we all can star writing a message on our phones and continue it on te iPad (for example)

Yeah the new messages application is garbage right now. Who wants to sent SMS messages from their iMessages on a computer that show up as some random email address on someone's phone. That and you can't click the menu bar message icon anymore to launch and view your AIM buddylist you have to instead go to Messages, select Windows, and select Buddies.

You'd think they'd wait until it worked before adding it into ML.
