No phone number on contacts page

I just switched to a 3g iphone and my phone # doesn't show up on the contacts page, any advice.

Mine doesn't either, but in another thread, I was told that I could put my SIM into another phone and add the number to "own number." Then when I put it back into the 3G, it should be there.

I haven't bothered yet, because it doesn't really matter. Maybe I'll get around to it someday.
