No pip og slideover for 6Plus!?

it has been almost a year since 6plus came out and im still waiting for something (even from apple) to really utilize the screensize! Even apple is doing a really bad job supporting the 6plus
I went with the 6 plus because it was obvious that multitasking etc. Would come at some point.
But no pip or slideover for 6 plus if I understand correct?

I think that apart from not having multitasking, the 6 Plus is the most optimised phone for the bigger size. And what use is there for multitasking on a phone? For one, I have no idea how Slide over would work on a phone screen. And Picture in picture is already obstructive on the iPad screen, I can't imagine what it would be like on a phone screen.

PIP should be there though, I agree.

I've used VideoPane on my 5 AND 6 and it was just fine, as well as on my S5 when I had it. It was perfectly fine.

Slide over would not come to the iPhone, but rather split screen multitasking. Similar to the way Samsung and LG have implemented it on their Note 4 and LG G4

I really wouldn't bet on it. The screen is just too small. Phones in general are just too small for split-screen. It can happen, it's just not productive.

I agree that PIP would work. As an example, use the YouTube app and slide the video down and browse. It's quite useful even in that limited scenario.

I disagree 100%. This is my opinion. The current LG G4 measures at 5.5" and split screens perfectly. The Samsung Galaxy Note II measured at 5.5" and is famous because of its Multi-Window. Same I can be said of the 5.7" Galaxy Note 4 & Galaxy Note V. The 5.5" iPhone (2015) because of the 2GB of RAM will most likely receive PIP and Split screen multitasking.

It's still really not the most productive thing in the world.

It's more cool and niche than it is actually productive, like on a tablet or full computer.

I agree about Picture-in-Picture, there's enough screen real estate on the 6 Plus to allow it to be used and it would be a useful feature on the 6 Plus. Not all features are suitable for the 6 Plus as its quite often too small, but the lack of features which make use of the 6 Plus' extra size is quite annoying.

Actually, I think the 6 Plus is probably the best optimised phone for a bigger screen. In portrait it doesn't have any special features, but what is there to do? But in landscape it is very productive. Having two panes in Mail, Messages and Notes, which is very useful, and other useful features like tab view in Safari, or the keyboard. These features are very underrated. Now I have to admit that I do not own a 6 Plus or any phablet for that matter, but I know quite a lot about them, and I have tried a 6 Plus in a store. I sort of take back what I said about split-screen, but when I tried it on my friend's LG G3, it just seemed too small.
