No playback using Peak or Studio Studio

I can record fine and dandy. .

But when I play back theres nothing.

if i play back in itunes....fine

Quicktime.......fine

but i cant hear a damn thing when i try to edit in peak or sound studio. Im 99.9 % sure all my setting are fine...any help would be great. im using 10.3.9
