It looks like from the new ads the only way anyone's getting an iPhone is with a 2-year contract?

Meaning people like me in the UK who were hoping to import a PAYG (Pay As You Go) iPhone as was rumoured, hoping to unlock it, will have to wait until the end of the year (at the earliest) to get one.

Grrrrr...

all researches show pay as you go is a total rip off, ppl ends up pay more than data plan.

I know, particularly considering phones on PAYG are usually much higher priced and not subsidised.

I (and I'm sure a lot of other people) would be getting an unlocked PAYG iPhone, and using it over here with my current SIM (which is on O2 CONTRACT).

Doesn't look like that's going to happen though!

get real...people know what they need...you don't know what everyone wants. Pay as you go might be good for some, but not all. Research shows this? First off cite your research, and 2nd off researcher can tell me what everthey want, but your need might be different

Keep in mind, they never said you wouldn't be able to get a pre-paid version in a few months. Thank god they are not allowing it for release, otherwise most of them would be on eBay for 4 times the cost in the first 2 days.

Yeah, true.

But if it's a few months I'll just wait until they're out in the UK :)
