Hey,

I needed to reset all settings due to the “move further away”-portrait-mode-error.
Apparently every notification setting is gone as well.
So I need to open every app to let the app ask for permission. But not every app does that. For example Instagram. I cannot get this app enable notifications. It doesn’t appear in iOS settings because it never asked for any permission and the notification settings in the app itself don’t help neither.
Any idea how to fix it?

Thanks

In most apps you can go into a settings within the app and configure notifications. If the app is properly designed it will ask for permissions then if it doesn't have them.

No most of them don’t ask

I have an app that did that when I did a reset all settings. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and then I got the pop up about allowing notifications.

Most of apps should pop up for notification permission after you launch them. If they don't, just delete and reinstall

It might have changed but I seem to remember in the past you had to have the apps deleted for 24 hours before installing them again presented fresh notification permission requests. Like I say this could be wrong or out dated info. Certainly worth trying a quick delete and reinstall like others have said but this might be the next step if that doesn’t work.

It’s so annoying. I can’t get apps to prompt the dialogue!
Don’t know what to do except install everything new
